Al Nassr wants Cristiano to fail? Why the Saudi club wants Ronaldo to not do well in the Euros with Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo is a very competitive player regardless of where he plays. The Portuguese star wants to win trophies with Al Nassr and can do it at the end of the season, but he is also very passionate about playing for his Portuguese national team. CR7 is expected to play in the 2024 Euros this summer with Portugal in Germany, a month away. The tournament will be held from June 14th to July 14th. Al Nassr may hope Ronaldo does not do well with Portugal in the upcoming Euros, as the Al Nassr team will leave on July 4 for Portugal to conduct camp in the city of Faro, Portugal. Ronaldo will miss the camp if their teams reach the advanced stages of the European Championship along with other players.

Ronaldo and Portugal will play in Group F in the Euros, where they will face Turkey, Georgia, and the Czech Republic. Their first opponents will be against the Czech Republic on June 18th at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig. The second match will be against Turkey at the Signal Iduna Park on June 22nd. The third game will be against Georgia at the Veltins Arena on June 26th to complete the group stage.

If Portugal advances to the Round of 16, Ronaldo will most likely not make the start of the Al Nassr camp in preparation for the next season. If Portugal qualifies for the quarter-finals and beyond, Ronaldo may take some time off and not participate in the camp with Al Nassr in Portugal. Although Ronaldo would want to continue training for next season, it would be ideal for him to rest to prevent any injuries since it would be a very busy summer for him.

Ronaldo on his long player career

Ronaldo has been playing professional football for over two decades, and he does not show signs of slowing down. Ronaldo was asked if he is surprised to be playing to this day. CR7 said, “Life is a box of surprises, and it is difficult, as you know, not easy to be at this level and still push and motivate yourself and continue score goals, and be in a state of competition with the young lions… I think it is very difficult, but it represents a challenge at the same time. As you know, if you take good care of your body, you can maintain it for many years. This is the great challenge for me, and it is a great thing, and I feel proud of that. Being at this age and still competing.”
